The primary responsibility of the HR/Trainer is to maintain and enhance the organizations human resources and develop and deliver companywide training. This role reports into the Executive Team Leader and is a critical position to support and disseminate company initiatives and develop human capital. Activities and functions include managing job descriptions and recruitment; planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices; recommending and managing employee benefit programs; supporting payroll activities; implementing an individual development plan for each employee; and TRAINING, TRAINING, TRAINING.

This role supports the next phase of the companys major extreme branding business model. This extreme branding program is in its second year and has proven to be successful by increasing the companys net sales by 12.5%, shareholders gain by 150% and the companys overall value by 4% within the first year.

-Implements recruitment program and new employee on-boarding process.
-Manages human resources policies, programs, and practices.
-Establish a robust employee health and safety program.
-Ensure legal compliance of applicable state and federal labor laws and requirements.
-Manage employee compensation and benefits program and support weekly payroll activities.
-Develop and deliver training programs and maintain on-going training schedules.
-Establish individual career enhancement plans for each employee.
-Lead and support projects as required.
-Create documented procedures and work instructions for all processes and activities.
-Any other additional tasks required to complete this role and company initiatives.


-5 years minimum experience in human resources and training in a manufacturing environment.
-Bachelors Degree in Business or other.
-Experience developing training and employee development plans.
-Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, ERP, SQL, Crystal Reports.
-Solid organizational skills.
-Ability to give/receive specific direction and lead/follow it to the specific details.
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize based on communicated business needs.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to use discretion and be confidential.
-Ability to collect and analyze data in order to make recommendations and/or take action.
-Interest in, and willingness to, participle, as required by all employees, in self-help and enhancement programs as part of the business model and related performance plans.

Talent Aquisition/Operations Support

Our client, a global risk management company, is seeking a Talent Acquisition/Recruiting Operations Temp. This will be approximately a 3-month contract with an immediate start date. Seeking to bring someone in to manage the ATS system and requisition process. This person will post and update jobs, distribute roles to recruiters, keep track of the various metrics and dashboard, and post jobs to external sites (LinkedIn, specifically). They will also be the POC for hiring managers who are submitting requisition requests. The TA Ops Temp will be responsible for checking requests against the hiring plan, and gathering necessary information and approvals that are needed to open a new role.

While the successful candidate does not need to be incredibly seasoned person in this role, we are certainly seeking someone who has done this before. Experience as a super-user with an ATS is required; experience with SilkRoad ATS (OpenHire) is preferred. The successful candidate is someone who is familiar with the LinkedIn recruiting tools. While this role won?t be sourcing, it does function to manage the LI job slots.

Payroll Manager

This is a terrific opportunity for a strong HR leader with solid competencies in payroll. This position is a hands-on role with the responsibility of managing the overall payroll function for the company.


- Ensure multiple payrolls are processed on time and accurately including oversight of a small payroll staff
- Handle escalated payroll issues and serve as subject matter expert
- Manage multi-state payroll for over 500 employees
- Develops payroll policies and procedures and ensures compliance to laws and regulations
- Maintain and audit employee vacation, sick, floating holidays and leave time
- Oversee annual worker compensation audit
- Ensure accuracy of employee deductions including 401k, benefits, etc.
- Audit and issue W2 and 1099 forms
- Serves as liaison to accounting and HR


- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Finance or any related field required
- Must have multi-state payroll background handling multiple payroll cycles
- Minimum of 6 years+ payroll management background
- ADP Workforce experience required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel skills
- CPP Certification is highly desired
- Proven background of supervisory and mentoring of staff
- Strong knowledge of income tax laws and IRS tax filings

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will finance USD 165,000 to establish a state-of-the-art Taekwondo Dojan at the Dar es Salaam Police Academy (DPA) in an initiative to build the capacity of the police academy.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will finance USD 165,000 to establish a state-of-the-art Taekwondo Dojan at the Dar es Salaam Police Academy (DPA) in an initiative to build the capacity of the police academy.
The project, expected to be completed in 2015, is the initiative of the late Master OH Jongse, a Taekwondo master from Korea who was dispatched to the Dar es Salaam Police Academy by KOICA under its World Friends Korea volunteer program to serve as a taekwondo instructor. Unfortunately, Master OH Jongse passed away from malaria before finalising the implementation of the project.
“KOICA decided to implement the project in memory of their Volunteer and to strengthen their relationship with the Dar es Salaam Police Academy,” said Mr. KIM Seungbeom, the Resident Representative of KOICA Tanzania, speaking on behalf of KOICA.
Taekwondo is one of the most effective forms of martial arts in the world; it improves strength, fitness and flexibility.
“We have found taekwondo stretching tough, but the results are great,” said one of late Master OH’s students.
During the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the KOICA and the Dar es Salaam Police Academy for the implementation of the project, the DPA commandant, SACP Ally Lugendo, said that the project will help to increase the number of trainees who will receive taekwondo training at the DPA, and the dojan will serve as a space for additional martial arts training for the Police.

KOICA is an agency of the Government of the Republic of Korea responsible for implementing the government’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) and technical cooperation programs in developing countries.
